New York City Travel Guide is an independent, one-person site covering things to do in NYC. It was built to need almost nothing from you: no sign-up, no mailing list, no stored personal details. This page spells out, plainly, what the site does and does not gather while you read.

What This Site Collects

Reading a page here triggers a basic analytics count: which pages were opened, the general region a visitor came from, and the browser and device type involved. All of it arrives as anonymous totals, never tied to a person. Because there is no account system, no comment section and no newsletter, the site never holds an email address, a name or payment information. A network service sitting in front of the site also keeps request logs, which help it load quickly and shut out abuse. Those logs expire quickly and are never used to build a profile of anyone.

Cookies and the Links You Follow

Every tour link on this site points to an external booking page, and once you follow one you are on the operator's ground. Their terms and their privacy policy apply from that point on, not ours. Your card number, your confirmation code and everything you decide on that page stay with them; none of it reaches this site. The only signal that comes back is that a visitor arrived via one of these links, which lets the operator attribute the referral. That is the full extent of it, and it contains nothing that could identify you personally.

If You Write

Send a question about a listing or a Manhattan itinerary and the message is kept just long enough to reply. Your address goes nowhere else, since no mailing list exists to put it on.

Your Choices

Your options are genuine ones. Cookies can be blocked or cleared in any browser and every page here still works. A privacy extension or a Do Not Track header will keep your visit out of analytics for the most part. Anything you have sent by email can be erased on request, and you will get a short confirmation once it is gone.
